Diorama Due: Wednesday, May 22nd
Presentations: TBD
Something I'm extremely passionate about sharing & teaching to my students is our country's National Parks. In the next month or so, students will be researching a National Park of their choosing and to make connections to habitats, ecosystems, geology, animal & plant adaptations, endangered & protected species, and the importance of conservation. This project has four components:
Research (using a graphic note-taking organizer) and the written speech will be done in class, while the National Parks diorama will be completed at home. In addition, please make sure that your child practices their oral presentation several times at home, focusing on using a loud, clear voice, making eye contact with the audience, and speaking with enthusiasm.
- Research on an assigned National Park (in class)
- A written speech (in class)
- Creation of a National Park Diorama (at home)
- Oral Presentation (in class)

These are some examples of previous students' Habitat dioramas. This year, however, the dioramas will be made to look like your child's assigned National Park. I'm excited to see what your child comes up with!
